Don't Believe In These "Trends" About Seat Key

Why a Seat Ibiza Replacement Key Won't Work

The Ibiza is now equipped with a new generation of driver assistance. Travel Assist makes sure your vehicle is keeping up with traffic movements while Lane Assist takes the worry out of changing lanes.

Remove the seat car key fob's battery compartment cover (A). With a thumb nail, or flat-head screwdriver, pull upwards the cover, then replace the CR2025 battery.

Dead Coin Battery

If your seat key replacement fob has stopped working and you haven't been capable of reprogramming it with the latest code, the most likely reason is a dead battery in the coin. Replacing this should make it functional once more - you can do it yourself in under 10 minutes.

Start by opening the seat key cover from the side, without the rings made of metal. You can open the clip-on lid by using your nail. The old battery is pushed through the hole at the middle. Note: Changing the battery improperly or using the wrong battery could cause damage to the remote seat car key.
